The CPI in August 2023 was 105.77(2021=100) which increased by 0.42% from the preceding month and rose by 2.43% compared with the same month in 2022.

Introduce percent change compared with the preceding month of 7 categories as follow:

1. Food group increased by 1.20%.

2. Clothing group decreased by 1.16%.

3. Housing group increased by 0.44%.

4. Transportation & Communication group increased by 0.90%.

5. Health group increased by 0.06%.

6. Education & Entertainment group increased by 0.04%.

7. Miscellaneous group decreased by 0.60%.

The CCI was 109.30(2021=100) which increased by 0.11% from the preceding month and rose by 0.81% compared with the same month in 2022.
